Members of the US Congress, who have given themselves superior pay, have an exceptional health care plan, and enjoy an outstanding retirement program, are at it again. This time they want to eliminate jobs based health care benefits for American workers in an attempt to cut several hundred billion dollars worth of tax benefits for businesses that provide coverage for their workers.

This proposal is from the Bi-Partisan Presidential Deficit Commission tasked with the responsibility of finding ways to cut federal spending. The Commission is also recommending the elimination of the mortgage interest rate deduction for homeowners in a bid to raise revenue.

Proponents say these cuts would allow “big tax rate cuts”, suggesting that lower tax rates would spur job creation and that businesses would be more likely to raise pay for their employees; but SHTF America asks: “For whom?”; and “For how long?”

If recent history is any indication, the tax rate cuts would apply only to businesses so they can become “competitive”, a buzz word for cheap labor; and the increased pay in the form of salaries and bonus’ would again accrue to corporate officers and managers, while the average worker in America gets less and less of the American Dream.

If anyone in America believes that any benefits of these proposed changes would trickle down to the masses from the political and financial elite making these new rules, they are out of their freaking mind! The intention here is to put all Americans on Obama Care, except Members of Congress, Bankster Gangsters, and the rich and famous who can afford the best of everything.

Middle America will be stripped of its ability to get adequate health care, more of their income will go for fundamental necessities, and they will have even less money for education, entrepreneurship, retirement, or wealth building. All of these schemes are scams on the American people to disenfranchise them, and make them serfs in the New World Order.

What is good for the geese is good for the ganders. Both Obummer and McLame promised the American people the same health care as they have. Where the hell is it? The claim is that: with Obama Care, "state based exchanges" would work like the federal employee health plan. Taxpayer subsidies will help individuals and families with low to moderate incomes pay premiums. The key words here are “work like the federal employee health plan” and "taxpayer subsidies".

Don’t believe it. That’s a lie! If that were true they could just roll all Americans into that same federal health care plan they have which is paid for by taxpayers now. Payments could be spread over a larger population creating economies of scale and cheaper rates for everyone. This is a lie disguised as reform designed to subsidize the poor at the expense of the middle class, who pays the bulk of the taxes in America, and transfer the cost of the working poor onto the middle class; while at the same time, increasing the cost of health care to them! Meanwhile, Members of Congress enjoy a premium quality health care plan and an unprecedented retirement program at the cost of the taxpayer!

 If the Congress wants to cut our health care and retirement benefits, maybe we should eliminate their health and retirement benefits altogether: and retroactively! Then they could share in the magnanimous program that they have designed for US! Seems only fair, don't 'cha think?

SHTF America predicts that the people in power are going to keep tightening the screws on average American citizens until some citizens, angry and incensed, go off the deep end and start shooting Members of Congress; and not just one, but many, in a well orchestrated “domestic terror attack”.  Dazed, the survivors will wonder what craziness could have provoked such an outrage! Gentlemen: look to your own souls when it happens. See the self serving, unsatiable greed, vanity, and self indulgent ways in which you govern.

Sadly, history has shown, that the PTB never get the message until there is blood on the streets of America, and when it is their interests that are in jeopardy. They long ago lost the understanding that government is supposed to serve the people, not the people in power. To ignore this intrinsic fact of the basis for the American government is to invite disaster upon the Nation. Congress, you will be held accountable! You cheat the American people at your peril!

If the President and Congress want to save hundreds and hundreds of billions of dollars every year and put Americans back to work; the solution is simple: send 30 million Illegals home, get them off of welfare, and out of the jobs that rightfully belong to American citizens! These Illegals cost the American taxpayer more than $300 billion every year. That is enough money every year to provide health care for all Americans and underwrite Social Security. Additionally, roll back pay rates for government employees which are about 60% greater than a similar job in the private sector, and cut pension plans for all government employees: especially Congress!

Two scientists at Washington State University are advocating in the Journal of Cosmology, one way trips to Mars for brave souls who would be willing to colonize the Red Planet; suggesting that it wouldn’t be much different from the Pilgrims migrating to North America. Right!

These visionaries believe that humans must reach for the stars because we live on a “vulnerable planet” that could be destroyed by asteroid, or supernova wiping out all life, including US; so it is imperative for the survival of the species to expand into the galaxy and beyond, to other livable worlds in deep space. A Martian Colony could serve as a “lifeboat for our species”. Well, guys, couldn't an asteroid or supernova wipe out a Martian Colony? Just asking.

With current technology, it’s a six month flight to Mars which possesses “surface gravity, an atmosphere, abundant water, carbon dioxide, and essential minerals”.

In a separate related development, a new impulse engine design is in development that would reduce the time to about 40 days, one way. These scientists are proposing two person teams in separate ships, with additional colonists and regular supply ships to follow. All they need is a couple of billionaires to fund the trip and a few volunteers.

Guys, if you can raise the money, provide the technology, and make that a three person crew, I will volunteer to be King of Mars; but only if Angelina Jolie and Halle Berry will go with me. And just understand one thing: once I get there, it’s my freaking planet!!!

Ahmadinejad To Be Impeached?

The Wall Street Journal reported on November 23^rd that Members of the Iranian Parliament are passing a petition to impeach President Ahmadinejad despite the protests of the leading Cleric; Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Supreme Ruler of the Guardian Council, which has absolute power in Iran.

Loyal followers of SHTF America will remember that we BROKE the story on October 16^th, that Ahmadinejad could be replaced as part of a new strategy devised by the Guardian Council to save Iran from annihilation, and worse, “regime change” for pursuing nuclear weapons. WSJ, you are slow on the draw, but good follow up. What a nose for news!

The Journal is reporting that 14 charges have been leveled at Ahmadinejad, including the illegal withdrawal of $590 million of foreign reserves from that nation’s Central Bank. Curiously, he is also charged with illegally importing $9 billion worth of oil and gas.

Curious because Iran probably has 25% or more of the known hydrocarbon deposits in the world, yet cannot refine enough gasoline for domestic use. Did he use that money to buy gasoline? As Members of the Iranian Parliament would face the brunt of the discontent of gasoline consumers if the gasoline shortages were too great, he probably did them a favor. The devil is in the details, which no one seems to have yet. Lack of transparency on the national budget seems to be the great concern here. Sound familiar?

The Supreme Ayatollah is supporting him publicly to help him save face while other members of the Guardian Council are siding with Parliament behind the scene, understanding that Ahmadinejad must go if the nation is to be spared “regime change”. Tom Delay: Culture Of Corruption

Tom Delay is the poster boy for the culture of corruption in high places that plagues American politics and undermines the prosperity of the American people. A Texas jury has found Delay, former House Majority Leader of the United States Congress, guilty of money laundering and conspiracy. The money laundering conviction carries a term of 1to 99 years in prison. The conspiracy conviction carries a prison term of 2 to 20 years. Sentencing by presiding Judge Pat Priest, is scheduled for December 20^th.

So far, District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg, has not specified how much prison time the State of Texas will ask the Court to impose, saying only that the case was a “message from the people of Texas”, who want “honesty and ethics in their public officials".

As House Majority Leader, Delay earned the nickname “The Hammer” for his ruthless style of leadership while driving legislation. What goes around comes around. Judge Priest, it’s time to bring the gavel down on the Hammer. No probation! This son of a bitch needs to go to jail!

Then someone needs to indict Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, for malfeasance in office for admitting to passing legislation upon the American people without reading the law: clear violations of her oath of office. DiCaprio: Save The Tiger

As one might expect, the tiger, like the whale, elephant, rhino, and many other magnificent animals are threatened to the point of extinction. Experts at the World Wildlife Fund and Global Tiger Initiative say that three of the nine tiger subspecies have become extinct in the past 70 years, and that the six other subspecies will likely disappear in about twelve years unless significant efforts are made to preserve the species. These experts say that only 3200 tigers remain in the wild, down from about 100,000 a century ago.

DiCaprio also donated $1 million to the cause; a man who puts his money where his mouth is. Leo, I was never a really big fan because I just didn’t see you as the leading man type for the movie that made you famous: Titanic. Honestly, I thought of you as another over-hyped media moron, not unlike a few blonde bimbos that still manage to garner way more press than they deserve. You are a man now, and you have my respect. James Leape, director general of the World Wildlife Fund, told the Tiger Summit in St. Petersburg, hosted by Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, that if the proper protective measures aren't taken, tigers may disappear by 2022, the next Chinese calendar year of the tiger.

He believes that saving tigers has implications beyond the emotional and spiritual appeal of preserving a majestic animal, as you must find a way to make it work for the local communities that must be partners in tiger conservation and profit from it. I mean really, would you want a tiger in your backyard if your home backed up to the national forest?

"To save tigers,” Leape said, “you need to save the forests, grasslands and lots of other species". "At the same time you are also conserving the foundations of the societies who live there. Their economy depends very much on the food, water and materials they get from those forests."

Russia and China agreed to create a protected area for tigers alongside their border and pool resources to combat poaching as tiger parts are highly desired in Chinese herbal medicine and a tiger pelt will sell for as much as $16,000.

The Tiger Summit set the goal of doubling the world's tiger population in the wild by 2022. The goal was backed by the 13 governments of the countries that still have tiger populations: Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, Vietnam and Russia.

Obama Care For The Saudi King?

If Obama Care is good enough for King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, it ought to be good enough for US, don’t cha think? AP is reporting that the 86 year old King has come to the United States for medical attention, and this is not the first time he has come here for treatment.

A number of years ago, the Saudi King checked into St. Joseph’s Hospital for an extended stay in Phoenix Arizona, for an undisclosed medical treatment and was very generous to the hospital and staff : on the way out! Or was that King Fahd? Anyway, my guess is that the Saudi King is trying to get an inside track on the St Joe Benefit Lottery and win a new car!

Coincidently, the arrival of the King to America for medical treatment coincides with the issuance of final, new rules unveiled by the US Department of Health and Human Resources for insurers. The new regulations mandate that 85% of the premiums paid in a health plan must apply directly to patient care and not to overhead for the plan.

SHTF America is still waiting for the same health care plan for the American people as that provided to Congress and promised by both Obummer and McLame when they were running for President. Liars, cheats, and thieves, one and all!

These final requirements should ensure that funds are applied to patient care at the hospital, but does place a “cap” on the aggregate amount  that insurers must pay. Analysts say the insurance industry got what it wanted, which is why insurance stocks bounced upwards. The limits on the cap were not reported, leading one to wonder what will happen to the patient when the insurance runs out. Will this work like legal fees for attorneys after they have taken all of your money and the case is not yet in court?

And did anyone tell the 86 year old Saudi King about the “Death Panels” if you exceed the "Cap"? Just asking.

North Korea recently revealed a previously secret uranium enrichment facility to American scientist, Siegfried Hecker , who is a former director of the US Los Alamos Nuclear Laboratory, during his visit to the main Yongbyon nuclear complex. He was also shown a small, highly sophisticated, industrial-scale uranium enrichment facility that had been built quickly and secretly to produce low enrichment uranium for a new reactor.

Hecker said the facilities appeared to be “designed primarily for civilian nuclear power”, but that it could easily be converted to produce highly enriched uranium for nuclear weapons. His first look at the secret facility “was stunning” and far surpassed his expectations. “Instead of seeing a few small cascades of centrifuges, which I believed to exist in North Korea, we saw a modern clean centrifuge plant of more than two thousand centrifuges all neatly aligned and plumbed below us”, with a control room that was “astonishingly modern”.

Not surprisingly, Dr. Hecker’s report has brought sharp rebuke from interested parties concerned with a North Korea with nuclear weapons. A Japanese official said that: “From the perspective of Japan’s security and the peace and stability of the region, North Korea’s continued development of nuclear reactors absolutely cannot be tolerated.” That sounds like “zero tolerance” to SHTF America.

US Department of Defense officials are concerned that this new secret facility would give the North Koreans the capability to extend the number of the nuclear devices they possess from a few crude devices to many nuclear weapons, and that they might share or sell this technology with others.

US-China Relations: Spy vs Spy

Massive volumes of Internet traffic was hijacked and rerouted to China for 18 minutes on April 8, 2010 by China Telecom, a state owned agency, according to Defense Department Spokesman, Marine Colonel David Lapan, on behalf of the 2010 US-China Commission, who stated that it wasn’t known whether the rerouting “was done with malicious intent or not.”

China’s Foreign Ministry and China Telecom have separately denied that it “hijacked” US Internet traffic by sending false instructions that prompted other servers to reroute the traffic through China on the assumption it was the most efficient path.

The U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission was set up in 2000 to examine the security implications of growing economic ties with China and regularly reports on Cyber Attacks and suspicious activity. Computer security experts suggested in the Commission’s Report that this capability by China, could enable a number of “severe malicious activities”.

Readers should be aware that US supercomputers routinely “take a picture” of the Internet to back up the data. It takes about twenty minutes. China was recently recognized as have the world’s fastest supercomputer which was developed internally.

No doubt China was testing its capabilities. Again.

Sink The Bismarck!

Earlier this year a collision between a Japanese whaling vessel and an Australian ship owned by the Sea Sheppard Conservation Society protesting the slaughter of whales; ended in the sinking of the Australian ship after a collision of the vessels in the frigid waters off of Antarctica. Reportedly, the captain of the Japanese Whaler could have avoided the collision but did not take remedial action.

The Maritime Safety Agency of New Zealand said in a report released Thursday, that  captains of both the Australian ship, Ady Gil, and the Japanese whaler, the Shonan Maru No. 2, "were responsible for either contributing to, or failing to respond to the 'close quarters' situation that led to the collision."

It "found no evidence that either vessel master had deliberately caused the collision," but said there was "a failure by both masters and the crew(s) ... to appreciate and react appropriately to avoid colliding."

The Japanese Institute of Cetacean Research which sponsors the whale slaughter in the name of scientific research reportedly had no comment, while the Japan Fisheries Agency said it needed time to study the matter. Knowledgeable observers know that Japan uses the Institute to skirt the limits imposed on whalers by international agreement.

Friends, fans, followers, and casual readers of this website should know and understand that whales are not fish. They are mammals and sentient beings of immense intelligence. Years ago this author meditated upon the issue of whether the whales truly needed to be saved before going to sleep. During the night I had a profound spiritual experience.

I found myself out of the body and in the spirit. I was swimming deep in the ocean, and eyeball to eyeball with a massive sperm whale and her calf. As I looked into that eye I saw intelligence as deep as the ocean and brightly illuminated. More than that, I found myself engulfed in waves of pure love emanating from the whale and directed at me. The experience ended shortly thereafter, but I knew then that these marvelous creatures were massive animations of the holy spirit as much as you or I and deserve our protection, as we are charged with dominion over all of Creation, and have a special responsibility to other sentient beings.

We spend billions of dollars scanning the heavens in search of alien, intelligent life, and there is among us a marvelous, intelligent species, living in an alien environment, with a unique speech and melodious voice; that unfortunately the Japanese cannot hear. Is there any sound as haunting and awe inspiring as the song of the Humpback whale?

The wholesale slaughter of whales is a crime against Creation. The Japanese will not escape judgment by Nature’s God; the Creator of all things visible and invisible in the Universe, for the perpetuation of this crime when they should know better. Judgment will come upon Japan for these crimes. Judgment will decimate the land and population of Japan, even as they have decimated the whales. Sadly, they will never know the reason for their demise, but what goes around comes around.

The greater portion of Japan will go into the sea and its population will be decimated. Whether this happens in five years or fifty; judgment will come upon Japan. It will be swift. It will be sure. It will be powerful. And it will decimate Japan as they have decimated the whales.

Food Stamps For China?

Good news, everyone! The "westernization" of China is complete! The Associated Press is reporting that food prices are soaring in China with double digit inflation in some commodities, where grains and vegetables have increased the cost of food more than ten percent. The Chinese government will subsidize food prices for the poor to quell citizen unrest. The average “poor” Chinese citizen spends 50% of their income on food. Who knew that rice, noodles and a few veggies were that expensive?

Fortunately, and unlike some western nations, China does keep stores of food on hand and intends to release these stocks into the market to dampen prices. Summer storms that damaged crops are blamed for the increase in prices, along with shortages of diesel fuel which has hampered the delivery of food supplies. Sources say the fuel shortages are the result of the oil industry with holding gasoline and diesel fuel in anticipation of a government increase in the price of petroleum products in response to global hydrocarbon demand.

If commodity prices continue to climb, and they will, this will put more pressure on China to increase the value of its Yuan as the United States and Europe have demanded. A stronger Yuan will allow China to purchase more food for its citizens globally; but this will increase the cost of Chinese exports to the world consumer, create a drop in demand for Chinese products, while inflation is passed to the United States and European middle classes whose purchasing power will decline, and with it, a diminished quality of life. The Death Of Real News

In the Sunday November 14 issue of the Washington Post, Ted Koppel laments the death of real news and the rise of opinion journalism. I appreciate your sentiment Ted, as I was once a loyal viewer of Nightline, and I will address that in a moment. “Real News”: that is, news unbiased and factual, reported on a daily basis by a “talking head”, ended with the retirement of Tom Brokaw from NBC Nightly News.

The “news” that Keith Olbermann, left-wing point man for MSNBC has an audience of only one million viewers is not only laughable, but pathetic! How does MSNBC justify putting this guy on television every night? Today, television news has degenerated into a cesspool of propaganda from both the left and right, each determined to push its view of the world and daily events upon the American public. And this bullshit on OUR airwaves, not theirs!

The Left has an agenda of global socialism with the financial benefits accruing to the poor, in a philosophy of wealth redistribution; but that wealth redistribution never seems to get to the poor as it is siphoned off by bigger government and cradle to grave social programs that eat away at the middle class with more taxes; and more kinds of taxes, to support the massive government that it somehow takes to distribute that wealth: the wealth of the middle class.


Obama Care with 159 NEW offices and agencies is a prime example of that philosophy of incompetence. The primary intent of the left is One World Government, because that is really big government that can “solve” all the world’s ills. Uhh, right! To that end the left has encouraged the invasion of the United States by 30 million latino illegals, primarily Mexican nationals, intending to make them "new Americans" and dissolve the USA into the North American Union, because that is lots bigger government, so it must be lots better government! The Right is pushing global fascism where the financial benefits of society accrue to corporations, and the managers and directors that run them. This philosophy is known by the Right as “supply side economics” or the “trickle-down theory”. Somehow, under this approach, prosperity never seems to trickle down to the masses, but the majority of the wealth produced in the country goes to an increasingly smaller percentage of the population. It is more accurately identified as, “corporate welfare”.

Global Fascism pushed by the Right has transferred the American means of production offshore, encouraged “free trade” rather than "fair trade", and has mobilized 30 million latinos to invade the United States to suppress wages, and generate massive amounts of profit for corporations and the managers and directors that run them. This is evidenced by the enormous compensation packages that they reward themselves with whether they deserve it or not. The primary intent of the Right is One World Banking, because really big, "too big to fail banks" can “solve” all of the world’s problems. Uhh, right! I believe that! Don't you?

I was a loyal viewer believing the gospel you generated every night, until one night you dedicated the program to a big issue in Arizona: the pending impeachment of then Arizona Governor, Ed Meachem. Now, Ted, I was never a fan of Ed Meachem, and I didn’t vote for him. It really didn’t matter to me whether he was Governor of Arizona, or wrangled shopping carts at the local Wal-Mart; but I had been following the story locally and I was in possession of the facts. Sadly, you were not. My news hero was totally uninformed but conducted the interviews in the same winning style as he had night after night after night.

That was the day that “real news” died for me, Ted. It was also the day I stopped watching Nightline.

Death Of A Star: Birth Of A Black Hole

In 1979, a Maryland schoolteacher witnessed the death of a star in a supernova explosion. Since then astronomers have been following it with interest as it has developed into a baby black hole that is growing. Originally a star about 20 times bigger than our sun, it has collapsed into a black hole about five times the size of the sun and is located about 50 million light years away.

Black holes are regions of space where gravity is so dense not even light escapes as they consume all matter and energy in their vicinity. AIG: Bailout Billions

American International Group Inc. better known as the infamous AIG of Bailout fame, has reported a 2.4 billion dollar loss for the third quarter as it pursues its re-capitalization plan. Operating losses were a mere $200 million but additional paper losses attributed to the sale of other businesses, ballooned its losses.

AIG is the insurance giant that was loaned $182 billion by the Obama administration so it could make its financial obligations good, to the benefit of Wall Street Bankster Gangsters. Goldman Sachs was the primary beneficiary of the payment to AIG, among Wall Street Banks.

AIG holds the pension and insurance funds of the U.S. Congress. Had it collapsed, the pensions and health insurance plans for past and present members of Congress would have disappeared altogether. The company says its re-capitalization plan is on schedule and that later next year, payments to the government would reduce its debt to the American taxpayers to a mere $100 billion.

The Congressional Oversight Panel which is charged with the investigation of the financial collapse has been critical of now Secretary of the US Treasury Tim Geithner, who was then head of the New York Federal Reserve Bank; stating that there were “conflicts of interest” associated with the bailout plan as it allowed JP Morgan Chase and Goldman Sachs to be made whole by the American taxpayer in the financial collapse of AIG.

The Congressional Budget Office which commissioned the Oversight Panel, is currently estimating a $36 billion dollar loss to American taxpayers. The panel’s Chairperson, Elizabeth Warren, is demanding a better deal, telling reporters, “We want a profit. We are holding the Treasury's feet to the fire."

Yeah, sure. Right. Don’t hold your breath, America! Someone with some balls needs to step up and put these lying, cheating, thieving bastards in jail! Starting with the Gang of Four: Geithner, Bernanke, Paulson, and Greenspan!

No Nukes Are Good Nukes!

CNN Money is reporting that the US Government is discussing nuclear power plants again. $18.5 billion of federal loan guarantees were approved in the 2008 Obama budget. Another $36 billion in federal loan guarantees are proposed in the President’s budget for 2011.

Nuclear power plants are a very bad idea, Mr. President. Who is going to clean up the mess when it spills over into the ground water? The EPA, DOE? The facts are in: neither!

At least neither agency is stepping up to clean up the mess at the Hanford Washington nuclear waste site where tons of radioactive toxic wastes have leaked from their storage vessels and into the Columbia River groundwater drainage system after only 50 years in storage. Cost estimates of the cleanup are projected at $8 billion, IF they had the technology to do it!

Only Big Business wants more nuclear plants in the United States. They want the subsidies, loan guarantees, and the increasing profits that they can extract from the American consumer, year after year, after year!

Educated Americans who understand the risks do not want nuclear power plants. Let’s face it. Why create a power plant that generates tons of radioactive waste that does not decompose below a toxic level for 10,000 years? If that waste is processed from a breeder reactor, it becomes non-toxic after only 1,000 years. Imagine that, only 14 generations of Americans need wait for the radioactivity to dissipate!

When scientists have developed a micro-organism that eats radioactive waste, shits water, and exhales oxygen; it will be time to build nuclear plants. Until then they are way too expense and way too dangerous to be built.                 http://www.shtfenergy.blogspot.com/
